Now in it’s 6th year, the Harrisburg Days Walk Run Race continues to delight both those looking for a fun social event to do with Friends, Family & Neighbors as well as those looking for a great RACE with challenging competition!
With 3 different distances, there is something for everyone.
The Walk Run Race is a Fund Raising event raising money to build the NEW Central Community Park in Harrisburg. Come join us for an entire days worth of fun and help us Imagine! A Walk in the Park!
The Walk Run Race is planned as being the 2nd Saturday of June every year. In 2014 that means it’s June 14th.
The start times of the individual events
will be staggered. So the 10K wave goes out out 8:00 am, the 5K wave
goes out at 8:20 am and the 1 Mile Fun Walk takes off at 8:30 am.
The
finish line is only the beginning! There will be some food and
refreshments for all the participants at the finish line as well as the
award ceremony. Once that’s done there is an entire day full of fun and
entertainment including:
- Parade
- Ping Pong Ball Drop
- Softball Tournament
- Shops in the Park
- Kiddie Carnival
- Free Music Concerts
- More food and refreshments
- And more…
